Malawi, India sign 5 year E-Network pact


Just days after Malawi held its annual Information Communication and Technologies expo in Lilongwe, Malawi and India have signed a memorandum on e-network.

The e- VBAB Network Project will be important in assisting Malawi in capacity building in sectors of education and health.

Signing the MOU for Malawi was its High Commissioner to India George Mkondiwa and Kamendra Kumar, Director of Telecommunications Consultants India Limited in New Delhi.

The MOU signed indicated that under the project higher education leaning institutions will be provided with services will be provided through a specially developed web based platform.

Running for the next five years the project comes after Malawi successfully completed the initial Pan African e-Network project.

In the Pan African e-Network project many students were trained and qualified in many disciplines with certificates, bachelors and masters Degrees offered by Indian Universities.
