Lilongwe City Council demolishes Warehouses in Lilongwe

Lilongwe City Council (LCC) through Malawi Police Service on Thursday demolished some warehouses near Winners Chapel Church in Mchesi Township.
According to an eyewitness who rushed to the scene, the incident happened at around 1:30pm and the council invaded the warehouses with over 50 armed police officers.
No warning or explanation was given for the action.
The warehouses belongs to Cleolive International, a business belonging to a Malawian citizen of Rwandese origin.
