WOJAM requests Stakeholders to work together in fight against GBV

WOJAM chairperson, Jean Kayira said this at a meeting the association organized in Chiradzulu through the Essential Gender Based Violence (GBV) Prevention and Services – Engender Health project.

Kayira said issues to do with GBV are becoming critical in the district.

“We believe that if we all work together, through mobile courts, we can truly end GBV completely.”

Traditional Authority Kadewere hailed WOJAM for implementing the project in his area which he believes will help to ease his work in fighting gender-based violence.

” I am truly humbled with what WOJAM has done, thank you for choosing Kadewere village, we are truly grateful.”

Youth Net and Counselling (YONECO) and WOJAM are implementing the Essential Gender Based Violence (GBV) Prevention and Services – Engender Health project in areas of Traditional Authority (T/A) Kadewere and Likoswe in Chiradzulu.

The project which is funded by the US department of State and primed by Engender Health, is aimed at eliminating incidences of gender based violence and enhancing coordination of multi-sectoral responders in the district.
