According Banda only half of those who sat for the examination nationwide passed.

He has therefore, expressed need to immediately organize in-service training sessions for educators, to familiarize them with subject content and teaching and learning materials regarding the new syllabus.

Out of a total of 92,837 thousand students who sat the examinations, 46, 771 have passed, representing 50.36 per cent pass rate.

The number of students who have passed this year’s MSCE examinations is down by 13% compared to last year.
