A man from Salima district has killed his wife and his one year child before taking his own life, Faceofmalawi can reveal.
According to the report, the man suspected that his wife was having an affair with another man.
Salima Police spokesperson, Sub inspector Jacob Khembo confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.
According to Khembo, the incident happened on Thursday night.
“The man fought with his wife on Thursday morning and the issue was sorted out amicably by relatives. But in the evening neighbors were surprised that the house seemed like no one was there. People went to the house to find out if everything was fine. They found the man hanging and his wife and child dead,” said Khembo.
The police has since appealed to people to report their issue to police other than taking their own lives.
