Sadiyya Ismail organizer of this year’s First Steps Nursery and An –Noor Academy annual Funfair has described the Funfair as a very successful one as it has been for the previous years.

“I have been at the school the past four years and this is my fifth year, usually we organize a Fun fair of this kind with the purpose of raising funds for the school,” she said.

Ismail said the Funfair is a Sunday get together where people of different cultures meet, have fun, enjoy themselves and share ideas.

“We thank our Board Members who have been very supportive to us and a lot of thanks for all those who have made our day to be very special. We also thank God for blessing us because the weather was very good and everything was running smoothly,” she said.

Ismail said they also had a lot of support from the cricket players who had a match at Mpingwe Sports Club ground adjacent to the Funfair .

She also said a big thank you should go to Mpingwe Sports Club and Limbe Muslim Jamaat (LMJ) for helping them and their continuing support.

“We have this kind of a Funfair every year in the month of September to show our school and the diverse different cultures. Currently we are following the UK curriculum and the school is under the umbrella body of LMJ and it is a subsidiary of LMJ,” he said.
