Soldier GRABS hold of a deadly King Cobra

A soldier was caught on camera as he tackled a King Cobra that had confronted him on a country path by pushing it to the ground before grabbing its head.

The footage was captured by an onlooker as the Malaysian soldier, from the Tentera Darat Army, walked down a dirt road surrounded by foliage.

In the video, the agitated King Cobra can be seen with its head raised to the man’s waist level.

The soldier, who is wearing a full green khaki uniform, stands with his hands on his hips while staring at the venomous snake that appears to be more than six feet long.

He then re-positions himself by bending his knees slightly with his left arm behind his back while his right arm is raised above his head.

He briefly adjusts his feet before calmly leaning forward.

The snake remains completely stationary as the man gets ever closer to touching the venomous animal.

Eventually his hand reaches the head of the cobra and as he applies pressure to it, the snake slowly bows its head.

The video ends with the man smiling at the camera with the snake safely within his grip.

Although it is not known where exactly in the Southeast Asian country the footage was taken, the video has since been met with an impressive response online.
