Police Probe Shooting of a Suspect who was Killed by Mulli Brothers Guard In Thyolo

Police in Thyolo are investigating the shooting of a suspected illegal logger by a Mulli Brothers company guard at Malamulo Stecco Forest in Thyolo, who has died.

The incident was reported by the Operations Manager for Stecco Tea estate.

The Manager, Chikumbutso Muli reported that the guard, along with others, shot in the air to scare people invading the forest, but that a bullet hit one of them.

He was rushed to hospital, but declared dead upon arrival.

Confirming the development Spokesperson for Thyolo police, Amos Tione has identified the guard who shot the firearm as Jack Frank aged 41.
