A female passenger has died while several others have sustained serious injuries after a Toyota Sienta and Toyota Pickup collided at at Bondo primary school near Mtakataka Trading Centre in Dedza.
The accident happened on Wednesday morning, according to Dedza police publicist Edward Kabango.
Kabango said the Sienta registration number CA 8025 that was coming from Salima going towards the Balaka direction was involved in a head on collision with the Toyota Pickup registration number NA 9540 that was going towards the opposite direction.
He said the Sienta had five people on board while the pickup had three.
According to Kabango, seven people have sustained injuries and they are receiving treatment at at Dedza district hospital.
Kabango has identified the deceased as Judith Gonondo.
