In an effort to fight the Ebola Virus, United Kingdom (UK) Government has donated Ebola preparedness supplies to Malawi to use incase Ebola case arises.

The supplies which include protective gear arrived in Malawi on Tuesday were donated to Malawi through UNICEF and were bought with 478,000 British Pounds.

Confirming the development. Joshua Malango the Public Relations Officer for the Ministry of Health, said that although there is no cause for alarm in the country.

Malango also thanked the UK government for the donation.

“As Malawi, we appreciate the donation from UK aid through UNICEF of the supplies that were provided in case an Ebola case arises in the country,” said Malango.

The supplies will be dispatched to various Districts this weekend according to the Ministry of Health Spokesman.
