Court allows MEC IT Muhabi Chisi to traverse Suleman’s evidence

The Constitutional Court rules in favour of the Malawi Electoral Commission to allow the electoral body’s IT Director Muhabi Chisi to also make a simulation in court.

MEC through its lawyers last week applied to the court that it should allow Chisi simulate data in order to traverse Suleman’s evidence.

Delivering his ruling this morning, Justice Healey Potani made the ruling in MEC’s favour but he said the simulation should not be for the purpose of traversing evidence but rather serve the purpose of demonstrating to the court how MEC managed results using the ICT system.

Suleman continues to be cross examined by Attorney General Kalekeni Kaphale.
