Malawi Posts Corporation (MPC) has refuted claims that one of its newly procured buses was impounded by sheriffs in Mzuzu over unpaid arrears.

MPC said the reports are untrue and urged Malawians to ignore it.

The reports had suggested that the bus was confiscated due to unpaid debts dating back to 2016, a development that has also been dismissed by the state owned company.

Recently, the buses sparked a public debate on how they are after one had run out of fuel before reaching its destination.
