Former Speaker Nelson Khonje to be buried with military honour


Former Speaker of the National Assembly, Nelson Khonje, will be buried with full military honours at his home in Mwanza District today.

Khonje who served as Member of Parliament (MP), for Mwanza Central for 21 years died on Sunday after a long illness.

He served as Speaker of the national Assembly for 12 years.

He was born on 6th December, 1923 and has died 12 days shy of his 96th birthday.
