Civil Servants yet to be Paid November Salaries

A large section of Civil Servants have not yet received their November Salaries, a development which has angered the Civil Servants Trade Union.

Secretary General for the Union Madalitso Njolomole, has confirmed development, saying that the civil servants are yet to be paid

However, Njolomole expressed concerns that salary delays have affected the civil servants who have resorted to obtaining loans to support their families.

Civil servants are supposed to receive their salaries from 21st to 27th of every month.

Meanwhile, Njolomole has said the civil servants will camp at treasury offices if their salaries will delay further.

Meanwhile, Davis Sado spokesperson for treasury, has attributed the delay to a technical fault in the government payment system IFMIS.

Sado said treasury has managed to work on the fault and the civil servants will soon start receiving their salaries.
