Human Rights Defenders Coalition (HRDC) has faulted government for perpetuating human rights abuses in the country.

On Tuesday, Malawi joined the rest of the world in commemorating World Human Rights Day which falls on the 10th of December every year.

Timothy Mtambo chairperson for HRDC accused government of promoting human rights abuses by promoting corruption and nepotism.

Mtambo has also condemned government for failing to take an action on perpetrators of human rights abuses citing the alleged rape of women and girls at Nsundwe.
