Archdiocese of Blantyre loses two nuns

A dark cloud has descended on the Archdiocese of Blantyre following the demise of two nuns, Faceofmalawi can reveal.

The two deceased nuns have been identified as Sr Celestina Namaona and Sister Austeria Liwonde who were at Mary View Nursing home.

The death of the two has been confirmed in a statement released on Sunday made available to Faceofmalawi reporter.

“Sr Celestina Namaona who died on 6 th Dec and in the early hours of 7th December 2019 another Sister passed on ,she is Sister Austeria Liwonde.Both we’re at Mary View Nursing home,” reads in part the statement.

Burial of the two nuns will take place today Monday 9th December 2019.
