Chanthunya’s murder case adjourned to January 2020

The High Court in Zomba hearing the murder case of Misozi Chanthunya has made directions on how the case will run.

Chanthunya is being accused of murdering his girlfriend, Linda Gasa, in August, 2010.

Among other things, Chanthunya has been ordered to find assistant lawyers to the current, Legal Aid Bureau, by December 20, this year.

Meanwhile, High Court Judge, Ruth Chinangwa, has ruled that trial will commence on Monday, 27th January, up to 31st January, next year.

Chanthunya has been in police cell in South Africa for over 2 years and was repatriated back to Malawi this year.
