MEC IT witness Muhabi Chisi to start testifying in Court Thursday afternoon

Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) IT expert Muhabi Chisi will start testifying in the ongoing Presidential polls where Malawi Congress Party (MCP) President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera and United Transformation Movement (UTM) President Dr. Saulos Chilima are seeking nullification of the polls.

According to information at hand, Chisi will start with simulation exercise which will run for 2 hours 3o minutes.

Lead Judge Healy Potani announced this when the case resumed this morning at Constitutional Court in the capital Lilongwe.

According to Potani, after simulation exercise Chisi will be cross-examined by lawyers of the first petitioner Saulos Chilima.

The case is expected to be concluded this coming Friday, December 6 2019 and a panel of five Judges will deliver its ruling within the period of 46 days, according to the constitution of the land.
