Police officer arrested for sodomizing taxi driver

Police in Nkhata Bay have arrested a fellow officer for allegedly sodomizing a taxi driver at Chintheche in the district.

Sub-Inspector Richard Mvula who works as a traffic police officer at Chintheche is alleged to have committed the offence while on duty at Matete road block on Tuesday.

Nkhata Bay police officer in-charge Mike Chona has confirmed the arrest in an interview with Zodiak Broadcasting Station (ZBS).

The officer is currently in custody at Nkhata Bay police and been charged with conducting an unnatural offence.

The suspect will appear i9n court soon.
