ZAMBIA – A ZICAS student has committed suicide by jumping from the 14th Floor of the main building of the Government Complex.
Zambia Police spokesperson Esther Katongo has confirmed the incident which occurred today around 16:15 hours at Government Complex at the rear lawn.
Katongo has identified the deceased as Mwango Kandeta aged 20 years old.
“Police in Lusaka received a report of suicide that one male person had jumped from the main building at Government Complex,” she said.
She explains that when police rushed to the scene they found a body of the deceased with several injuries.
“The deceased is reported to have jumped from the 14th floor, using the toilet window and left his slippers and a half full bottle of Coca cola inside the toilet where he had initially locked himself. The door was forced open by the Police,” said Katongo.
