Man arrested for selling daughter at MK500,000

The Police in Mchinji have arrested a 46-year-old man, for allegedly offering for sale his daughter for K500,000.

Mchinji police spokesperson Inspector Kaitano Lubrino confirmed of the arrest in an interview with Zodiak Broadcasting Station (ZBS).

According to Lubrino, the suspected identified as Agapito Mazuzo Mwale reportedly approached a businessman at Ludzi Trading Centre in the district claiming he was selling a sheep.

“Shocked with the development, the businessman immediately alerted community members who reported the matter to police hence the arrest,” said Lubrino.

The suspect will appear in court soon.
