Kabwila at Lilongwe Magistrate Court

Politician and rights activist Dr. Jessie Kabwira has arrived at Lilongwe Magistrate Court where she is expected to be formally charged and later take plea according to her lawyer Khwima Mchizi.

Kabwira, an academician-cum-politician was arrested on Saturday for what Police Spokesperson James Kadadzera says remarks deem as threats to judges handling the historic presidential election case during HRDC led demonstrations on Thursday.

She has since spent two nights in police custody after her bail application was denied on Sunday.
