New blood in the gospel music industry has been discovered which goes by the name Atikonda Kamowa who is set to release his new single ‘Mumandikonda’ on January 15, 2020.
Kamowa, who started his music carrier in 2014 said he identified himself as a musician in 2018 when he first released his single titled ‘Nyimbo yanu’
According to Kamowa, Mumandikonda is an inspiration form his name ‘Atikonda’
“It actually comes from my name ‘Atikonda’ so I was asking kuti Mulungu atikonda chifukwa chani? And then all that came along” said Kamowa.
He added the song is talking about God’s unconditional love, citing that it will help people to acknowledge the love of God in their lives.
“A lot of people may think God loves people for a specific thing that we have, either talents or good looks, but at the end of the day it’s not all that. He loves us because we’re his children and the love is unconditional” explained Kamowa.
When asked if he is planning of releasing an album this year, without hesitation the youthful music icon confirmed revealing that Mumandikonda is one of the songs in his upcoming album.
“I’m recording my album at Palm Records studio. Actually Mumandikonda is one of the songs from the Album. So I guess one more single and then the finally the album.” revealed Kamowa.
Kamowa who looks up to Faith Mussa and Jonathan Butler has performed at three concerts namely; Worship Chord Concert by Vin Chizuzu, Step Two Album Launch Concert by Harris Chiwalo, and the Floodlight Concert by Joshua Kukhala.
The song will be available for downloads on Mikozi Network, Zonse Live and YouTube.
