A 29 year old man Mustapha Idris has confessed killing his three months pregnant girlfriend to stay out of shame of giving birth out of wedlock.
20-year-old Nafisa Hashimu, a divorcee found out recently that she was three months pregnant.
She happily informed her lover and he angrily macheted her and dumped her in the bush, an outskirt of Daneji village.
Upon investigation, Mustapha Idris noted he was ashamed to give birth out of wedlock so he killed his girlfriend.
‘I’m ashamed of how the society will see us after she delivers the unborn child out of wedlock, and thus I decided to terminate her life to stay away from shame,’ he said.
Meanwhile, Nafisa Hashimu has been confirmed dead and her body has been delivered to her family for burial.
