Three Gangsters In Different Fails Plan Escape Over Phone

The jailbreak planned by three dreaded gangsters lodged in different jails proved successful after one of them managed to escape from police custody while on the way back to the prison after a court hearing.

The escape was allegedly planned on the phone by three gangsters identified as Sampat Nehra, Sandeep, and Lawrence Bishnoi to free one of them-Sandeep. While Sampat is lodged in Panchkula Jail, Bishnoi and Sandeep are lodged in Bharatpur and Bhondsi jails respectively.

Attack on police van

According to a report in Times of India, the plan to free Sandeep was hatched a month ago and became successful on Saturday (February 1) when the accomplices of the three gangsters attacked a police van near Hanuman Chowk in Faridabad in Haryana.

A police officer was also injured in the exchange of gunfire but is now said to be out of danger. The van was carrying five prisoners including Sandeep.

While the police managed to nab four inmates after a brief shootout, Sandeep managed to flee. Before fleeing, the accused left their vehicles near Shikrona village. Police seized 200 live cartridges and 10 pistols from the vehicle.

How police got to know about the plot

The arrested inmates-Kapil, Naresh Sethi-told the police that the plot was hatched by three gangsters in jail through conference calls.  According to police, the arrangement for vehicles, weapons, and men was done by gangster Sandeep from the jail.

Officials say Sandeep is still in touch with other gangsters through WhatsApp calls made through internet router after fleeing police custody. However, he is cleverly avoiding making phone calls to them fearing surveillance by police.

Sampat’s experience in jailbreak

Police also said that the three gangsters were cooperating with each other in running their gang. “It was Lawrence Bishnoi who had urged Sampat to free Sandeep from police custody. Sampat had also freed his other gang members from police custody in Panchkula,” said a police officer.  Meanwhile, Faridabad and Gurugram police have launched a massive hunt to nab Sandeep.
