Unknown illness found in NIGERIA, killed 15 people, 100 more at risk

Amid an outbreak of the deadly and disastrous coronavirus and growing concern about the rate of spread and the increasing number of deaths after being diagnosed with the disease all over the world, the reports of another mysterious illness that has already claimed the lives of 15 people emerged recently in Nigeria, according to the West African country’s government.

At this stage, the Health Department speaks about 100 people who have been infected with the disease. The illness is commonly accompanied by vomiting, inflammation, and diarrhoea.

It is understood that the southeast part of the Abuja, the capital of Nigeria, was in January a centre of the outbreak.

According to government officials, the mysterious disease kills those who had been infected within 48 hours after the first symptoms emerged.

A preliminary version that has been revealed by the medics indicates that the cause of the illness may be from chemicals associated with fishing.
