Ansah backs MEC injunction stopping execution of Concourt ruling

Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) Chairperson Justice Jane Ansah has signed the sworn statement supporting application to stay the Constitutional Court Judgment nullifying the disputed May 21 Presidential polls.

MEC appealed the Monday Constitutional Court ruling through its lawyer Tamando Chokhotho and Attorney General Kalekeni Kaphale.

MEC has also applied for suspension of enforcement of the judgement pending the hearing of their appeal & determination of the appeal.
