NIGERIA – A fake Police Mobile Force (PMF) Sergeant arrested for flaunting Lagos Traffic law has said he got the uniform he was wearing from his policeman friend.
The suspect Monday Job, 32, was arrested around 8am on February 10 after he was seen carrying a passenger on his motorcycle at Oshodi.
At first, the enforcement team thought he was a Sergeant and apprehended him for flaunting the ban on commercial cycles along major road as well as breaking service rules by carrying a passenger while fully clad in Mobile Police uniform.
It was gathered that the team probed further to ascertain his force number and serving unit but the suspect could not satisfactorily answer.
