Fire guts down Tata Investment Company in Mapanga

Fire has razed down Tata investment company in Mapanga,Blantyre, destroying property worth millions of Kwacha.

According to the company’s manager, Mrs Wuxiao Ting, a Chinese national, she first noticed smoke coming out of the factory and she went about to check, only to discover it had already engulfed the place.

Limbe Police and the fire brigade were alerted, who rushed to the scene.

Limbe Police spokesperson Patrick Musa confirmed the development but said the cause of fire is yet to be established.

Meanwhile the extent of the damage is yet to be known.
