30-Year-Old Zimbabwean Journalist Dies of Coronavirus

ZIMBABWE-On a sad note, a Zimbabwean journalist, Zororo Makamba has died of Coronavirus, according to health officials at Wilkins hospital in Harare.

Zimbabwe’s Health and Child Care Minister Dr Obadiah Moyo confirmed the death of the journalist on Monday.

Zororo Makamba, 30 years of age was the second person to test positive for Covid-19 after traveling to the United States (US).

His death is the first in Zimbabwe as the country steps up its effort to contain the spread of the virus.

Several restrictions have now been rolled out in Zimbabwe including travel bans.

Public gatherings including religious activities have also been banned.
