39-year-old woman strangles Mother to death, says she’s the cause of her childlessness

A 39-year-old woman identified as Grace Osehon, has allegedly strangled her own mother, Esther Osehon, to death in Rivers State in Nigeria.

Local Press in Nigeria learnt that the victim who was arrested by the Rivers State Police Command, disclosed that she has been married for 9 years without a child.

Grace said the frustration has forced her husband to tell her he might need to marry another wife.

She said: “I and my husband have gone for different test in different hospitals and from the results we are both okay”.

“After all the test, I decided to do a 7 days fasting and prayer. On the first day, I saw my mother in my dreams, she always deep her hands in my stomach and when she pulls out, there will be blood stain on her hands. This happened for a whole week, then on the last day of rounding off, she came again in my dreams and started confessing to be the one behind my childlessness.

“I went to challenge her at her house due to what I saw and she confessed to be the reason I have been barren.

“I had no choice than to kill her. I strangled her to death out of annoyance”, she said.

However, the Police said they are lodging in an investigation and they will ensure justice is being done.
