Chilima Asks MDF Soldiers Not to Take Useless Orders

United Transformation Movement (UTM) leader Saulos Chilima has urged Malawi Defense Force (MDF) soldiers not to be taking stupid orders from politicians.

Chilima who is also the state vice president was speaking at UTM rally on Sunday at Njamba Freedom Park in Blantyre.

“Let me remind you, I am the vice president of this country therefore Police and MDF soldiers stop taking useless orders,” Chilima said.

Chilima, said it is not the duty of MDF soldiers to fully intervene on internal matters as it the duty of the police.

He therefore asked the men in uniform to work professionally and not to be influenced by politicians.

Before Chilima, UTM’s secretary General Patricia Kaliati said the same saying it time all the cadets in uniform should not be spared as they are the ones despising the work of police.
