MACOHA Receives ICT Equipment Boost

Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA) on Monday donated Information and Communication Technology (ICT) equipment worth MK10 million to Malawi Council for the Handicapped (MACOHA).

The Director General for MACRA Godfrey Itaye, said the donation has come after MACOHA asked for help from MACRA.

“MACRA made the donation following calls from the institution to assist them with ICT service upgrades and equipment,” Itaye said.

Itaye further said that they did not hesitate with assistance knowing that ICT is a basis for the of any country

“The access and usage of ICTs is imperative to the development of the country,” Itaye added.

After visiting MACOHA, MACRA also visited Blantyre District Council and donated some ICT equipment too.
