MEC to Call for Applications for Presiding Officers Position Ahead of Fresh Polls

The electoral body Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) has said it will call for applications from people who wants to presiding officers in the fresh presidential elections.
MEC Chief Elections Officer (CEO) Sam Alfandika made the revelations as he is appearing in Parliament today.
According to Alfandika, the commission was not satisfied with the performance of teachers in the previous elections.
On qualifications, Alfandika said the Commission will require people that at least hold a Diploma to be presiding officers
