I Need to be Consulted First on Covid-19 – Poet Sylvester Kalizang’oma

Malawi’s well known Poet Sylvester Kalizang’oma has said he cannot release Corona Virus poem before being consulted by concern organization and Companies and need to do research.

Speaking in an interview, the celebrated poet with “Unkalindanji Moyo” and “Nayi Nkhata ya Maluwa” fame said he need to think before coming up with Covid-19 poem.

“Some have released their poems with opposite messages for Corona Virus but they didn’t do their research well,” he said.

He further said even if some people will think that he loves money it doesn’t matter as all he needs is to be approached by either WHO or local organizations and Companies to write a poem about Covid-19.

“As a poet you need to think what message you can deliver to people and to do some research about it first,” said Kalizamng’oma who will soon release his third Album to his credit.

Poets and Artists in the country have released their poems and songs respectively tackling the issue of widespread disease Corona Virus.
