Malawi Congress party (MCP) through its leader Lazurus Chakwera said it will deploy its members of parliament and Councillors in all 5002 polling centers to help in monitoring the upcoming elections.
Chakwera who came second in the presidential election that was nullified by the court said the part wants to help in correct mistakes that happened previously.
“we will use everybody whom is available. We will use councilors and MPs. We want to have monitors at every level. Our aim is to correct mistakes which were there in the previous elections,” he said.
After the constitution court nullified the results of May 21 2019 Presidential Election on 3 February 2020, it ordered fresh presidential a fresh election in 150 days.
According to Malawi Electoral Commisssion n(MEC), the next election will take place on 3 July 2020.
