Imam Allegedly Drugs, Sodomizes 12-Year-Old Boy

An Imam(the prayer leader of a mosque) identified as Abubakar Danraka has drugged and sodomize a 12-year-old boy, name withheld, in Abuja.

Our online publication learnt that Danraka who holds a PhD is a Chief Pharmacist at National Hospital Abuja and also the SA to the Director General of National Institute for Pharmaceutical Research and Development (NIPRD).

According to Gwamnishu Emefiena Harrison, Director General of the Behind Bars Initiative, BBI, on Sunday, the suspect has been apprehended and is with National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), while awaiting his day in court.

Recall that in 2019, a male teacher was arrested in Calabar, Cross River State capital, for sodomizing an 9-year-old boy at school.

According to the minor, the teacher identified as Samuel John Ikpeme, has been molesting him since he was aged 8 and enrolled in the school. “He said if I tell anyone, he will kill me”, the 9-year-old victim cried out.

Investigations further revealed that the victim’s dad was a magistrates and had since charged the suspect to court.
