In a shocking case reported from Firozabad district of Uttar Pradesh, a 13-year-old girl was allegedly killed by her father after she was found with a neighbourhood boy.
According to a report in Times of India, the incident took place in Mohammadabad village under Tundla police station on Monday. The girl’s family secretly cremated the body of the minor to avoid any police suspicion.
Police have detained the girl’s mother who was a witness to the crime. Other family members are still absconding.
“We received information about the alleged murder of a class 7 student in the Mohammadabad village.
The police team reached the spot and found burnt remains of the victim. During the course of the investigation, we came to know that the girl was killed by father after she was found with a boy in the neighbourhood,” the report quoted Tundla Circle Officer, Ajay Chauhan.
Police have recovered the remains of the victim and sent them for autopsy.
In January this year, an auto-rickshaw driver was booked by Haryana Police for allegedly raping and impregnating his daughter. He also illegally aborted her foetus. The matter came to light only after the victim revealed the ordeal to her mother.
