Suspected DPP cadet beaten for destroying MEC kit in Blantyre(see photos)

Suspected youth cadet for the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has been severely beaten in Blantyre for destroying Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) kit ahead of the fresh Presidential polls, Faceofmalawi can reveal.

The suspected cadet together with his colleagues was moving around in registration centre in the commercial capital Blantyre destroying MEC kits.

Some of the centers that the suspected cadets visited are Makata, Namalimwe primary schools and Blantyre Secondary School.

But things went sour when the suspected cadets visited one of the registration centres in Chirimba where the angry community descended on them.

The angry community managed to apprehend one cadet and assaulted him.

The cadet was rescued by the law enforcers.

Meanwhile voter registration exercise has stopped in some centers in Blantyre.
