Smoking Marijuana has been criticizes by medical doctors during this period of corona virus saying it may increase the risk of corona virus even if it is taken occasionally,

The doctors say the virus causes causes covid-19, a respiratory disease that can progress from mild illness to viral pneumonia and organ failure.

They continued by saying that cannabis leads to inflammation in the lungs, which affects the body’s ability to fight off the virus.

But the doctors did mention anything concerning smoking tobacco.

“What happens to your airways when you smoke cannabis is that it causes some degree of inflammation, very similar to bronchitis, very similar type of inflammation that cigarette smoking can cause,” Dr Albert Rizzo, chief medical officer for the American Lung Association, told CNN.

Studies have proved that Marijuana is taken by many people in order to deal with stress.

But lung health experts have warned that smoking marijuana currently may increase the chances of contracting Covid-19.
