Former United Democracy Front (UDF) Publicity Secretary Judith Laja has joined United Transformation Movement (UTM) led by he state vice president Saulos Chilima.
Laja has been followed by other UDF members including UDF District Governor for Balaka to the UTM family.
In her remarks when unveiling her decision of joining UTM, Laja said she realized that it is only UTM which has sound policies that will develop the country.
She noted UTM is the only party beyond tribe and region, a national party.
She mentioned the cheap fertilizer at Mk4, 495.00, the Mk15, 000 monthly allowance for the elderly, the fight against corruption not just rhetoric, loans for women and the youth and one million jobs creation within the first year as some of the promises that have prompted her followers to join UTM.
She was welcomed by the UTM Secretary General Hon. Patricia Kaliati, who was also accompanied by a number of senior party officials.
In her remarks, UTM Secretary General said Hon. Laja and her followers, just like many others that continue to join UTM on daily basis across the country have made a timely decision because come the 2nd July 2020, UTM and his alliance partners will win the fresh elections and bail Malawians out of poverty.
She further said many Malawians now have realized its UTM and SKC that have sound policies to develop the country. She finally encouraged people across the country to go register or verify their names in readiness for voting
