A grouping calling itself the Association of Hairdressers in Blantyre and all concerned citizens in Blantyre have penned the city council on plans to hold demonstrations on 18th April 2020 against the ordered 21 day lockdown.
The grouping says the demonstrations are meant to request President Peter Mutharika to reverse the decision “by considering the majority Malawians who are poor”.
In a related development, People in Mzuzu are on the street demonstrating against the same issue.
In the argument, Lockdown will be the one to kill them because of hunger than the virus itself.
