Couple Smothers Their Teenage Daughter To Death, Cremates Body

A couple from Agra, Uttar Pradesh was nabbed after they allegedly murdered their daughter and cremated her body.

The incident took place in Firozabad district of Uttar Pradesh. Allegedly, the accused smothered the 15-year-old girl to death.

The accused have been identified as Nitesh and Guddu. The deceased was identified as Prabha. Prabha stayed with her parents after the marriage of her two elder sisters.

Late night on Monday, Prabha wanted to meet her boyfriend who lives adjacent to her home. This angered the accused and they allegedly had an argument.

Following this, the accused smothered their 15-year-old daughter to death. To hide the incident, Guddu and his wife Nitesh cremated 15-year-old Prabha in a farm field.

The incident came to light on Tuesday when some of the locals approached the police and informed them about the incident. On being apprised of the incident, the police reached the area and arrested Nitesh.

Guddu, however, was hiding in a stack of hay which was kept in a farm field of the Mohammdabad village. The police managed to find the accused and took him for interrogation. During interrogation, the accused confessed to the crime.

Station house officer (SHO) Gyanendra Kumar said:

“After smothering to death, Guddu and his wife Nitesh cremated the girl’s body in a farm field, however, our forensic team managed to retrieve some charred body parts for analysis. It was a brutal murder. “

The accused have been booked under section 302 (murder), 201 (causing the disappearance of evidence of offence, or giving false information to screen offender).
