Man Aged 32, Murders His Teenage Girlfriend Aged 16, Stuffs Her Body In A Sack

In Lusaka,Zambia – The Police have apprehended a 32 year old man of Mtendere compound for murdering his 16 year old girlfriend.

The suspect identified as Crispin Kawanga after murdering his girlfriend identified as Gertrude Lungu, tied the body in a sack and dumped it in a drainage in Salama Park area.

The deceased’s parents reported to police that their daughter had gone missing on Sunday around 12: 00 hours.

Meanwhile, the suspect after committing the crime, went to a traditional doctor within Mtendere compound to seek for help after confessing to him that he killed someone.

Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo told reporters that the traditional doctor later revealed to police and identified the suspect.

“Police apprehended Crispin Kawanga and upon interrogation, the suspect confessed to have murdered the victim and led the police to Salama Park where he dumped the body in a drainage after putting it in a sack,” Katongo said.

She said the body was found in a decomposed state and that Post-mortem will be conducted on the scene.
