Unconfirmed reports reaching Faceofmalawi indicates that President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika is today expected to update the nation on #COVID19 preparedness & progress.
Initial the Special Cabinet Committee on Coronavirus was today expected to update Malawians on the same starting from at 3:30pm at the Ministry of Health Conference room.
But the briefing by the committee is yet to commence.
The briefing is coming on a day there is social media speculation that the first confirmed case of Covid19 for Malawi, may have been identified somewhere in Lilongwe.
The briefing could also clarify on the matter this afternoon.
