Zodwa Wabantu ‘Escapes Death’ After Thugs Break Into House

Fans of South African businesswoman and sultry dancer Zodwa Wabantu on Thursday woke up to distressing news that thugs stormed and ransacked the entertainer’s house in Durban.

Fortunately for Zodwa, she was not at home when the thugs broke into the house.

However, she was shaken by the incident such that she ditched the tough look she always puts on, and shed a few tears in a video she shared on Instagram.

Speaking on the issue, Zodwa expressed her fears and said that she might have met her untimely death if the marauding hoodlums had found her home.  Some of her fans also echoed her fears and were most relieved that she escaped danger because she was not at home.

‘I do not know what would have happened to me, maybe I would be killed by now if they find me inside,’ said Zodwa.

She also said that the thugs took most of her belongings which were in her room, and attempted to steal the car parked in the yard. ‘But they failed to drive it and left it halfway instead,’ added Zodwa.

The entertainer, whose real name is Zodwa Libram, said that she usually leaves her boyfriend in the house when he goes to work far from home. But her boyfriend had to go and spend time at his home since the lockdown.

‘These thugs had all the time they needed. I was called by the neighbours early in the morning today, informing me that my house had been broken into. I asked my boyfriend to go check and then open a case with the police because I am far from home. People are hungry. We are still going to suffer because of the Covid-19 and lockdown. I am crying because I am trying to show people that I have a heart too. I do feel pain as a human being,’ said Zodwa.
