Judiciary Trashes Rumors’ That Ruling on Presidential Elections Case is Due May 5

The judiciary has trashed rumors that the pending Supreme Court ruling on the Presidential Elections case will be delivered on May 5.

This is a direct response to social media reports that were making rounds few day ago regarding the Court verdict against the order of fresh presidential.

The reports claim that the ruling will be made a day before presidential candidates submit their nominations papers to the Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) which is challenging the Constitutional Court’s order for a fresh presidential elections.

According to Agnes Patemba High Court Registrar has said the judges handling the case are still working on the papers.

Patemba also added that the date for the ruling has not yet been set.
