Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) Chairperson Dr. Jane Ansah is scheduled to address the press today ahead of presentation of nomination papers on Wednesday.

According to information at hand, Ansah is expected to comment on the ongoing political violence perpetrated by the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) ahead of the fresh Presidential polls.

Ansah is also expected to outline the programme of presentation of nomination papers by Presidential candidates which is expected to commence at 9am on Wednesday.

Malawi Congress Party (MCP) President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera will be the first Presidential candidate to present his nomination papers.
