CFT leader Timothy Mtambo vows to campaign for MCP-UTM alliance

Citizens for Transformation Leader Timothy Mtambo has vowed to campaign for the grand alliance of Malawi Congress Party (MCP) and United Transformation Movement (UTM).

Mtambo said this at Mount Soche Hotel in the commercial capital where MCP President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera and his bedfellow UTM Pressident Dr. Saulos Chilima are set to present nomination papers to Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) ahead of the fresh Presidential polls.

In his speech, Mtambo said Malawians have suffered enough at the hands of President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika under the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP).

“I am going to campaign like never before until I see Chakwera and Chilima taking oath of office,” said Mtambo.

Meanwhile the function has been delayed due to failure by supporters of the alliance to observe social distance.
