NRB Boss Says MCP will Not Be Allowed to Audit Its Data

National Registration Bureau Director Mackford Somanje has said Malawi Congress Party (MCP) will not be allowed to audit the National ID database.
Somanje said this today at a joint press briefing organized by NRB and Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC).
According to Somanje letting MCP agent to have access to NRB database will be a violation of section 44 of the National Registration Act of 2020.
“We will not be used to break the law,” he said.
He further says NRB has instituted investigations into allegations that the institution registered minors in the system.
